Toni: I have been talking with a secretary who works for a general
surgeon. She told me that a sign of a bowel obstruction is inability to
pass gas. If this is happening to you, I'd advise you to see a surgeon,
IMMEDIATELY! But, given the symptoms you are having seeing a general
surgeon would be a good idea. Please let me know what you find out, but
I urge you to seek treatment immediately before it becomes and
emergency!
