Adhesions can cause pain anywhere. They can also cause very substantial
bladder difficulties. I was diagnosed with "interstitial cystitis" but it
ended up being that my problems stemmed from adhesions enveloping my
bladder. At this time, I have no bladder because they removed it.
We all need to educate ourselves about this disease. We should not be
allowing doctors to perform any more surgeries unless we are sure that these
doctors use the proper techniques to remove the adhesions. To date I am
only aware of a couple of doctors that do this successfully.....Dr. Redan
and Dr. Rich in Scranton, Pennsylvania at the new adhesion center and
possibly Dr. Korell in Germany...he uses the intergel barrier.
I am not saying that Dr. Cook is not a good surgeon....he very well could
be. But I would need to know more about his technique and hear from some of
his patients a year or so after their surgeries. Speaking of Dr.
Cook....has anyone heard from Kay Moran? She had surgery in June with Dr.
Cook and I don't think I have seen anything from her since. I hope and pray
that she is okay.
