As a cancer survivor, I find all the tests daunting as well. But they are so necessary. What you may think is pain due to adhesions may well be something much more serious. By serious, I don't mean more painful, but potentially deadly.
I know the difficulty of waiting for an appointment, waiting in the waiting room, getting suited up in the little cotton gown, lying on a chilly table while the test is set up, and finally being let go -- only to wait for the results.
I am torn each time between praying they will not find new tumors and hoping that they will find something than can be fixed. Frankly, I don't see surgery as much of a fix for adhesions. Each time my own seem to form more quickly and cause more serious pain and additional bowel obstruction.
But I'd rather hear adhesions than tumor!
