Kristy, my colon and posterior vagina were attached by endo nodule and adhesions. I had a terrible time with the bowel symptoms and just sitting ached so much. I did not have a lot of vaginal pain. I had already had a tah/bso, and I wasn't getting that ache & intense burning in my vagina I had before the hyst. I can tell you that certain sexual positions affected it also. I know that endo can appear on and in the vagina, fortunately mine was on the outside. Dr. Redwine performed this surgery, so you may be able to check on his website to see if he has info for your doctor about this procedure. He has been published many times regarding this subject and just returned from Europe where he performed severe recto-vaginal endometriosis removal surgeries. He has additional information on his website regarding his published articles too. http://www.scmc.org/endo.html

I am getting ready for another lap adhesion surgery on Feb. 1. This will be awake lap & second look lap. So I would like to let you know how this goes. I am curious to find out "what is going on in there." My doctor told me I do not want to try to snap or tear one of the thick adhesions, it causes VERY MUCH pain. He told me to take it easy. What does your doctor say about this?

Take care of yourself, suzanne
