I took amytriplyine (sp?) which sounds related to the nortriptyline. These are med that you have to come off SLOWLY to avoid "rebound"....that is...to avoid depression. Did you ask your doc about how to get off of this? My doc said to back down gradually. By doing this, you may find a level at which the pain is still controlled...but that you are not a zombie and that the sex drive at least exists. Going off suddenly sounds like a boo-boo to me. I am not a medical professional and so get the true scoop from your doc.
