Millie,
I called my GI dr today, and he called me about 5 o.clock, and asked alot of questions, he said that the best thing I did not do, was run for imodium, he said that my colon was impacted, he said that the only thing you can do for that is to take a strong enema, he said that causes diarreha, and alot of it. I was confused like I had said, and he explained it more to me. He said if it does not get better by Monday I am to call him then, or sooner if it gets worse. Tonight the cramps came back but no diarreha.
he said that the cramping that was doubling me over was up high, and that alot of people with severe constipation end up impacted, and to be careful because you can end up in the hospital ,a dn I do not want that. it made no sense until he explained it to me. I hope it helps, but I cannot do the enema til tomorrow, I need to get some sleep.
