Dottie, I have the same problems you have except mine is on the entire "left side"!!!!! I have lower back, hip, pelvic/groin, thigh, abdominal, under rib pains (all on left side). I can't walk without a crutch for the past year. Any bending, stretching, walking (even w/ crutch) twisting or even just standing greatly increases my pain. I can't stand any pressure on my belly and only wear elastic waists and some days they also hurt too much. I take 10-12 Herblax every night in order to move my bowels. I also have incontinence. I have a full-body heating pad on my bed which I sleep on every night. Since I have the full-body heating pad I now feel better laying on the side that hurts, without it I can't lay on that side. I don't walk unless absolutely necessary (even w/ crutch) and don't have much of a life for the past year other than on my computer, and to do that I need to sit on a firm chair.

I also have bulging disks at L-3,L-4 which they say aren't bad or touching any nerves. I do have a total hip replacement which was revised last year but the pain still persists (left side also).

I have had adhesion problems for most of my adult life and am 52 years old. I have had 4 surgeries for adhesions so far and am having my 4th on May 2, 2001( or sooner if comes available). My bowels etc. are usually involved and have been extensive each time. I lost all my womanly organs, appendix and part of my omentum due to adhesions.

You can feel free to email me if you like at creative@enter.net. I don't live near you, I live in PA. JEAN

Bev or anyone who has this problem. I have had adhessions removed two times;both times they were really bad. They were wrapped around my bowel the last time.

This time I am having pain in my right side and right groin area and down my right leg. I also have pain under my right rib cage. I have pain in my right leg and It feels like pressure in my R. leg when I go up steps or up hill; It was just my one leg now It Is both legs even when I am just walking but worst going up steps. I can not make It up stairs to my bedroom with out crying.

I have had disc surgery in my low back and I still have one buldging disc @ L-3-4- but the doctors say it is not that bad and the doctors here don"t see the point of removing adhessions as they just come back. Has anyone out their had pain in their legs like this from adhession . This pain is a lot like before but a lot worst and the leg&groin pain was never like this. I also can not have a b.m. without an enema. Ican not lay on my R.side because of the pain.

Does any one know of a doctor in Colorado that does the same type of surgery that Dr.Reich does.

Thanks for your help
