Dear Lynda,

I say move all you can while you can...especially if it hurts less. I am sorry to hear that you are in so much pain, and unable to sleep. I have had to start taking Ativan in order to sleep.

It's funny you mention your itchy belly button...mine still itches, and I'm 10 1/2 weeks post-op. Actually, I have under the surface itching where my adhesions are coming back, I've explained this to doctors before, and to them it's just hypochondriac babble.

I had surgical/healing pain for 4-5 weeks after surgery. I started exercising at week 4 almost daily, and I really think it kept my pain at bay...besides, it felt so good to feel my body move. It wasn't till week 9 when the pain changed to adhesion pain. I knew the difference because of the pain referral and spasm.

Live to your fullest while you can...move stretch and walk if you can...your body will tell you these things, and then it will tell you when/if it's time to slow down.

Hang in there, Lynda, i'm sending lots of love and hugs your way.

Janet
