Ditto Kelly!!! In my case, neither Mayo nor Johns Hopkins were of any assistance. In regards to adhesions Mayo is at the back of the pack. They do not even acknowledge that adhesions create much of a problem. In fact neither place would even consider dealing with my problems. I firmly believe that if there is not much hope of success these supposedly wonderful medical centers won't even consider touching you...it would damage their ratings.

  where do you live?
  I went to Mayo and I know a few others on the board have as well.  They were
  not helpful and very dismissive.  The only help I got from them was through
  pain managment, but as for a long term (surgical) help, they said to wait for
  a bowel obstruction.
