Janet, I'm a newbie here, but wanted to express my support to you as
well.. I know all too well how difficult it is to maintain a
relationship when trying to deal with a chronic illness and pain (my
daughter's, in this case). I haven't been very successful at it, I'm
afraid, still a single mom here, although I am dating someone supportive
now :) You are doing the right thing, I think.. you need to take care
of YOU and having someone non-supportive around is not healthy. I
always found it easier to deal with crises alone vs. dealing with them
while someone was whining in the background about not getting what THEY
needed.
Whoever said it is right.. you are very fortuntae to have family that
is supportive and is going to "take you in."
Hang in there, and take it one day at a time :)
