I hear ya loud and clear...this is a stinkin' disease, and there is alot of crap we have to put up with!
I have had 3 abdominal surgeries in the last 2 years, 2 for adhesiolysis. My last adhesiolysis was March this year, 10 weeks later the pain was back.
Unfortunately, general/family docs do not want to prescribe meds because of the addiction factor, most of us have experienced the same thing you describe. Recently, I started going to a pain cloinic. Your family doc has to write a script for the pain clinic...that's what gets you in the door.
I am taking Oxycontin, and when I keep up with it properly, it most often keeps the pain under control. This might an option to try before another surgery.
