Welcome to the site. What you describe could be adhesions. My former doctor never mentioned them to me, either, and after a year and a half of uselessness from her, I found a new, more sympathetic doctor.
My adhesions started with a hyst in Oct. 99. I had a lap done in April that has provided some relief. Maybe you should find another doctor, one who is a good listener, sympathetic and who will help you with pain management.
There is lots of great info on this site -- read everything you can, print off stuff to take to your doctor. The quilt is helpful too, reading that...also you may want to post your information.
Good luck to you -- hang in there. We all know what the bad days are like. By banding together we can start to make a difference though - demanding effective treatment so we can have more good days is the place to start. We all are here for you. Take care and have a very good, pain-free day.
Love,
