Jo, Thanks for your thoughts! You know the real bad part is the same thing just happened to us 10 years ago and he had given 17 years of his life to the place when it closed. He had to take a $2-$3 an hour cut in pay when he started this job and no pension plan anymore. He no sooner was settled in with that job, then his mom got Alzheimer's so we also took her in and I took care of her for 3 years and then I needed the hip replacement so there went my jobs.

Now to possibly go through it again so soon and now that he is 54 the likelihood of finding a good job at that age without education will be almost impossible. He had a hard time 10 years ago due to age and now you need good education even for a general laborer job. He is head of maintenance but didn't have schooling for it. JEAN

Hi Jean,

I will keep you in my prayers that your hubby's work doesn't close....it is always a hard thing to live through isn't it? The uncertainty, the worry about money etc....stay positive and there will be a way out of it..:-)

love, hugs & cheers,

Jo
