Hi Rosie, I have experienced flat pressed looking stools too. I had a colonoscopy & from "inside" my bowel looked fine. I know that my bowel was "caught up" in five different places prior to my last surgery in April (I read it on the surgery report). I have noticed that this shape seems to occur if I haven't had a bowel movement for a few days. I have also noticed the increase in pain at this time too.

When I described this to my doctor, he just raised his eyebrows & really didn't respond apart from telling me that I was "fine" as far as he could see from the colonoscopy. I hope you are able to get more information from your doctor, than I got from mine.

Best of luck to you....

Love, hugs & cheers

Jo
