been to doctor. Help!

Hi everyone,
Well, I went to the doctor today for my annual and to tell him that the
pain I had before surgery in April to have adhesions removed is back. I
had adhesions that went from my large intestine to my ovary and tube,
pulling everything out of whack. I told the doctor today, also, that I
have terrible problems with going to the bathroom (BM's). After the
examination, he said he just didn't "think" that my BM problem has
anything to do with the other. He wrote down a list of things for me to
try to take every day to help with the BM's. As far as the adhesions,
he does not recommend another Laproscopy because in all likelyhood the
adhesions would just form again. He said I could try to live with it
(with the help of pain management), or have my left ovary and tube
removed. He would also remove the uterus (if I wanted) since my uterus
was prolapsed and I didn't want any more children anyway (I had my tubes
tied 6 years ago). He would leave my right ovary and tube alone.
I don't know what I should do at this point. I just don't think I can
live with the pain for the rest of my life. How effective is pain
management? Is a partial hysterectomy the right answer for me? I asked
my doctor if the surgery would not cause even more adhesions. He said
that my adhesions seem to want to form between my left ovary, tube and
large intestine. He says that when the tube and ovary are gone, the
adhesions have nothing to "attach" to.
Please, anyone, if you have advice for me, I am listening. I really
don't know if I should get the surgery, live with it or get a second
opinion. I love my doctor and hate the thought of going somewhere else.
Please help. Sorry for the lenghty message.
