Hi John, I also have been living with an entrapped nerve or neuroma for 4 years now. It is the worst pain imaginable. Unfortunately, mine never goes away. I have had 3 surgeries on in now and each one reduced the pain 50% or more. I am now able to go on one and a half Methadone pills a day now which gives me total relief of pain. Have you tried neurontin? This helped me greatly until I got a rash from it. The worst thing that you can do for a nerve is a block. Injections increase the pain. Only surgeries relieve them and then you run the chance of having the numbness. I can not have any more surgeries as it has been completely removed now and so I pray that with time and proper nutrition and herbal suppliments that I will someday be pain free. Good luck ot you and feel free to contact me with any questions. I know very few people who have had this happen to them and there is almost no information out there on this subject.
