My personal opinion is that pregnancy will not cure adhesions, and could quite possibly make the pain worse. There are links from the IAS home page to endometriosis pages that show that adhesions can actually prevent pregnancy by blocking tubes and constricting the uterus.
Just my opinion, remember, but I think your doctor is talking through his/her hat.
