It's also very important that he have a very competent doctor who has had a lot of experience with lysis of adhesions. You don't want to wind up in the emergency ward and have somebody who doesn't know what they are doing giving your boy a full cut, open operation. This would save his life if he were blocked very badly, but it could also cause him to scar a lot which would cause more adhesions which lead to more blockages, etc. a vicious cycle.
