Karen,
So glad you have decided to wait to proceed with this totally drastic
procedure! As you know, once it is done, you can never go back. And
the adhesions will still find something to adhere to. They are great
at that. You can vent and bawl, cry and whine, ramble and complain
all you want. We all know what you are feeling, "been there, done that,"
and we can relate. That is why we are here. This is your support
group. I am also waiting for a life-threatening situation to even
have surgery considered. I have an ovarian cyst and an adrenal
gland tumor they will do nothing for. My ob/gyn tried to do a lap
and there were too many adhesions for the instruments and camera to
move around. They just backed out and closed. I have days when I
think I just want everything out and the pain gone and then I realize
that is impossible. Don't let your pain drive you to do something
you will regret forever. Stick with us and we will help you through
the rough times. Feel free to e-mail anytime at all.
