Dear Jayne When I first started taking pain meds on a regular basis, I had the same problem. At that time, I was taking Vicodin 5mg every 4-6 hrs. Your body will eventually become used to the pain meds. At one point, I was using the duragesic patch 100, 8-10 vicodin 10mg & motrin 800. That is a lot of meds! But my body got used to them & I drove all the time. give yourself some time for your body to adjust. robin
