Dear Em I have suicidal thoughts because of the adhesion pain and the frustrations of it. My children, grandkids and hubby are the only reason that I suffer. If it were not for them, I would have ended this along time ago. #1Adhesions form with in 7 days! After that, they start getting old & start getting tight, that is really what causes the pain, when they start pulling on things. #2 I had to dump my Dr a couple of years ago. He told me that I really didn't have pain, I was addicted to the pain meds & needed to go to detox! One week later, I sat talkingv with a new Dr that increased my pain meds. You have to get a dr that knows about adhesions & they will support you. #3 If you can get to a specialist then my personal opinion is that you should go for the surgery/surgeries. But finding one, or affording one is hard. I think that if I could afford to return to Germany for surgery with Dr Korell, I would become adhesion free. My adhesions have been greatly reduced because of him. I am having lots of pain now, but I can't afford to return to him right now. #4 LOL Maybe "Not tonight honey, I have adhesions" My kids are older, 22, 17, 15, They understand a little better. My grandbabies almost 4 & almost 3, can understand that "MEME's" tummy hurts. One thing that really helps is to come to this board where everyone is in the same boat. There is comfort & understanding here. Just knowing that someone truely understands what is going on helps a great deal. >From what I have heard, one of Dr Korvorcian's "patients" was an
adhesion sufferer. Keep your chin up!! love robin
