Pat,

As the resident hernia expert (self-appointed since I have had a minimum of 50 hernias....of course not all surgeries done at different times and not all have been repaired) what you are describing sounds like an incisional hernia. Since you have a problem with adhesions it would be wise to not do anything unless it becomes a medical emergency. Of course, I am not a doctor so it would be wise to speak with a medical expert first, but even then I would ask a lot of questions. As adhesion sufferers we must avoid surgery at all cost....unless it is a matter of life and death.
