Re: Anyone had luck with Intercede Barrier?

The gyn placed Interceed when she did my hyst over a year ago. She had lysed adhesions from around the bowel, then placed the barrier. I do not believe it worked because I still get pain and a lot of pulling in the whole lower abdomen/pelvic area. She told me she only did hyst because I had pain. Pathology report showed no reason for her to do what she did. The more surgery you have, the more adhesions will usually form. I will not have any more surgery, unless, God forbid, it becomes life-threatening. If I had known about adhesions, I'd NEVER have let her near me. In the mid part of last year, I went back to her,and she said there's no more she could do to help me. I was cut in Jan., 2001. In early March, she called me and profusely apologized for 35 minutes that surgery didn't work. See? We all have to vent, and there's nothing wrong with that, at all. I feel so alone so much of the time... more than anyone knows. Millie.
