was prescribed ultram for pain due to arthritis. only take it occaisionally. doctor prescribed it as he was afraid i would become addicted to teh "vicodin" i was taking for pain related to swollen hip joint. have not noticed too many symptoms of withdrawal, but have not been taking it too long. i have two docotrs who have told me ultram is a "non-addictive" replacement for drugs such as percocet or vicodin. i currently am on percocet for the adhestion pain. guess i may have a problem getting off this med. anyone with similar experience with doc saying ultram is "non-addictive" please respond.

thanks and good luck to us all.
