I just went through that and my internist said it could just be irritable bowel syndrome, but could also be partial blockage or diverticulitis.

I know I have IBS and diver., but only once have I had symptoms like you had and just recently. It worries me, too, but I have some doctor appts. already coming up, so it goes to the end of the line. And I go back to my bland, mostly fluid, diet (sigh).
