Dear Tish, I am happy you found us. I am sorry that you are having so much pain. We have all been in your shoes! Each story is a little different, but everyone has pain. Read the quilt, it has a lot of stories on it. My adhesions started with my 1st c-section in 1983. Adhesions are the best kept medical secret! If you plan on having surgery again, make sure it is a specialist! There are a few specialist. Just because a Dr knows about adhesions, that doesn't make him a specialist. I went from DR to Dr to Dr too. I have been on pain meds off/on for about 5 or 6 years now. Only off for a while after surgery. I went to Germany for surgery in Nov 2000. The first surgery I was covered in adhesions. The Dr used intergel. One week later, I had another surgery. I had 50% reformation. I went home knowing I had 15-30% reformation. I did great for about 4 months & then my pain slowly came back. I had surgery locally in Aug 2001. He said that the surgeries in Germany did me good because I didn't have much adhesions. He cut me open & used seprafilm. With in 2 months I had pain again & by 4 months my pain was back to were it was before. I am currently raising funds to return to Germany. I think that if that Dr (he is a specialist)could do a few more surgeries, I could become adhesion free. The Dr in Germany is now using spray gel, which is supposed to be the best thing so far. Again welcome to the board. robin
