Meds affect everyone differently. I would think that if the Vicodin helps, that is what you should get. I am on Oxycontin 80mg 2 x day (which is time release) and vicodin 10mg for break through pain. I just hope you don't have any problems getting pain meds. Many of us have gone through several DRs before we found one that would treat our pain. Good Luck & keep us posted. robin M
