Help. Has anyone suffered from nerve damage relating to resection of the intestine or peritonitis?

I had a laproscopy done about 1 1/2 yrs ago for menstrual pain. This resulted in a whole made in my intestine by the doctor. After seeing the doctor the day after my surgey, the doctor stated the way I was feeling was normal. Needless to say 3 days after my surgery I ended up in the ER with a collapsed lung, and peritonitis. After being bounced from various specialist and a few surgeries, I decided to go to the Monroe Clinic in WI. He thinks that from the peritonitis or the initial surgery there was nerve damage. He now has placed my on the first stages on pain meds. I have been through all of the morphhines, vicoden, darvocets, etc. for the pain which none of them helped. He has placed me on an anti-depressent which they found helps the nerve pain.

Any other suggestions?

Thanks, Lorie
