Interceed is a mesh type material used to cover or "wrap" around the
section of Intestine that is being covered by the Adhesions. Interceed
slowly breaks down into a "gel" type substance,,, { not like the
spraygel that is now being done}. It takes about 28 days for the
Interceed to fully desolve,,, that was what I meant by the "Residuals"
after about 28 days,,, there is really nothing left of the Interceed.
And yes,,, I do highly feel that the Interceed causes more Adheasions
due simply to the fact that the Interceed in my opinion agervates and
irritates the section of Intestine it is covering. I always have had a
very bad reaction to Interceed but the Dr continues to use it only
because it is more plyable and can be manipulated better through the
scope where as the Sepra film { which I have had too and think it is
much better}but Sepra film cannot be manipulated through the scopes }.
