Hi Christine, your doc could answer this question. Also probably a pharmacist though you might have to go by in person to get the answer? It is interesting that it works well for you when vicodin doesn't. That's kind of where I am. i have also heard of other people who use ultram for chronic pain of interstitial cystitis with good results. Judy
