I'm pretty sure that there are people here who have had allergic reactions to adhesion barriers, although I'm not 100% positive that intergel was the culprit and not one of the other barriers. The issue is that a true allergic response which causes inflammation will multiply adhesions like crazy. I think that this is one of the reasons that some of the really skilled laporoscopic surgeons don't use barriers.
I wonder if you could do a skin test to check if you are allergic before surgery?
