Jenn, I have to agree about not rushing into a hysterectomy. I had many problems as well from endometriosis, and the surgeon assured me this would end all of the problems. He even said after the surgery that "there's no longer anything for adhesions to adhere to" (!!) Ah, if only I knew then. . . .It has been 5 years, and, true, I don't miss the difficult periods, but there are so many more problems now, and the adhesions pain is definitely still there and worse. Also, in another case that I know, my friend had a hysterectomy for endometriosis, and, as Millie warned, now (twelve years later) has a lot of bleeding from the recurrance of endometriosis. Of course, some people DO feel better, and I am also not a medical practitioner, but I wanted to share my personal experience with you. Good luck whatever you decide.
