Sue, I have been told that endometriosis can cause adhesions in the pelvis and the abdomen. Even minor laparoscopic surgery can cause adhesions to form. I never had any pelvic surgeries until 1985. I had a laparoscopy and the gyn would only say that he found 'minimal ' adhesions. He never explained what adhesions are, nor did he tell me what problems they cause. I am not a medical professional, but I hope this helps. Millie.
