I have been reading over the boards an just thought I might add some
information that might help. I am 38 years old and 2 years ago I had a
hysterectomy, (Fibroids) to big for a vaginal removal. I was able to
keep my left ovary. After the operation I had pain all over my stomach,
even my back. I went back to the doctor and 6 months later I was back
in for surgery, this time they found adhesions. I thought the pain
would be gone this time but no luck. I even had pain emptying my
bladder. I was finally sent to a GI and a pain specialist. The GI put
me on Miralax that has helped my bowels but a great amount of the pain
has gone away due to the pain specialist who diagnosed me with NERVE
ENTRAPMENT. Please do a search on the net and see if it resambles your
pain. My doctor has done wonders. I can now do light sit ups. I am
still going for treatments but have finally felt much better after two
years. I may still have adhesions but because I had so many areas that
hurt we have finally ulliminated a lot of the pain. I had another
treatment today. It can be painful but the results are great. We have
not ruled out the adhesions so I continue to do research. My doctor
mentioned a new technique to repair adhesions. They are using INTERGEL.
Don't know if this helps but I do know that pain is real and no doctor
should say anything different.....
