Dear Kim, I had my hysterectomy 7 years ago. I was having horrible pain 3 weeks out of the month. My periods were super heavy. I could not go any where for longer than 1 hour with super tampons & a thick pad or I would leak and I passed large clots. I had adhesions & something else wrong with my uterus. It took me along time to recover, but then had 2 years almost totally pain free. My first surgery for adhesions was Aug. 1985. My next surgery is June 3, in Duisburg, Germany with Dr Korell & spray gel. Since you are having so much pain with your period, it might help get rid of some of the pain you are having. Just remember, you also will probably get more adhesions. To have this done, has to be your decission. If you don't feel comfortable with it, or you Dr, I would say don't do it now.just dont do it because you feel preasured. I wish you luck in you decission. robin M
