Hi Sue, If you become adhesion FREE, then no, you would not have to have SprayGel again and again.....because you won't have to have surgery again! The SprayGel is a barrier, providing separation between organs after adhesiolysis...... this provides healing time and then the SprayGel is excreted.......on the second look (7 days later).........there were NO adhesions; thus the surgeon, SprayGel, and AbdoLift combined accomplished an abdominal cavity, pelvis, stomach, diaphragm, liver, etc. that became FREE of adhesions! Please remember, the SprayGel is only a portion of the process for the desired end result!! I believe, first and foremost, the surgeon is the key...........he(she) must have the knowledge to bring the patient to an adhesion free state....it is not just a matter of taking down adhesions and applying SprayGel. Dr. Kruschinski combines knowledge, special tools, gifted hands, and uses the special AbdoLift system for surgery rather than adhesion causing CO2!! I said it before and I will say it again, you can throw a paintbrush in anyone's hand, (you can even give them lessons), but that doesn't mean they can paint! You may have to write Dr. Kruschinski and ask about the kidney issue you have. He will be glad to answer your question. Hope this helped you.........I am no medical expert by any means, but this is my under- standing of the SprayGel. I just started looking for the answer to this and can't seem to find one, then I thought of all the helpful women on this site! I figure someone has to know. Also, thanks for the site to the Dr. in Europe, most helpful to me. I also wonder if it may harm my kidney's cause I suffer from a kidney disease as well-lucky me! Thanks, Sue-Z from Wisconsin

Hi Linda,

There is information on SprayGel @ http://www.adhesionprevention.com/new.htm .
Melissa had no effects from the usage of SprayGel that we know of. She had
no
problems of any kind once she was up and functioning without the catheter,
which
was very soon after surgery. The surgery photos clearly show the blue
SprayGel.

The next photos Dr. Kruschinski provided upon her second look (7 days later)
showed NO SprayGel remaining in the areas that adhesiolysis was performed,
only healthy, shiny looking bowels--a dramatic difference from the adhesed
bowel
photos prior to surgery.

Melissa's prior surgeries in the US left her in a lot of pain for several
weeks. She
took Percocet,(sp) and Oxycontin for a long period of time. She was in bed
constantly
for EIGHT straight weeks (only up to shower) after her second surgery in the
States.
It was a VERY depressing eight weeks. She had pain and her doctor
continually
recommended by phone that she continue the Percocet (sp) and Oxycontin.
Looking
back I am now convinced the medications were a factor in her very, very slow
recovery.

After surgery with Dr. Kruschinski, Melissa was supplied suppositories for
surgery
pain. Two days after returning to the flat, we went downtown and had lunch.
I was
amazed at the difference in healing time, pain med's, etc. Melissa had
extensive
adhesiolysis in ALL abdominal quadrants, the ovary, the left pelvic wall,
the liver, the diaphragm and the stomach. She had adhesions between the
bowel loops in
ALL abdominal quadrants; thus a great deal of surgery was performed.

Looking back and comparing surgeries, I now know that the patient is
accustomed
to the morphine drip and strong pain medications being provided in the US. I
now wonder, especially after watching Dr. Kruschinki's interviews on the
effects of CO2 during
surgery, if the pain medications are provided for the surgery that was
performed or
for the effects of the CO2!! Please let me know if you need the information
on the
interviews. I posted it on the IAS and Jo @ Bombobeach has added the
information to her site..........but will be glad to help you if for some
reason you cannot find it!

Yes, Melissa had surgery pain, but she told me, "I can bear this--it isn't
so bad".
In fact, the nurses had to insist she use the suppositories.......Melissa
always says
if it isn't going in by mouth or injection.........then it isn't going in!

I know the AbdoLift system that Dr. Kruschinski invented and used during
Melissa's
surgery was a HUGE contributing factor in her lessened pain and speedy
recovery
process! You can read more about this on Dr. Kruschinski's site @ http://www
EndoGyn.com.
(You can access the interviews from his site also).

As far as the SprayGel, even though it is not FDA approved, I know Melissa
would
do it again in a heartbeat to be free of the nausea, throwing up, migraines,
pain, etc.
that were ruling her life due to ARD.

She has a life again.........!!!!!!!!!

Sincerely,

Karen

Subject: questions about spray gel

Hi to all, I have a couple questions and I am hoping that someone who has
had spraygel can answer any of these questions.
--

I was wondering, since the spray gel dissolves and comes out through the
urine, is there a chance that the spray gel can cause problems with the
bowels, bladder, or kidneys when it is leaving your body? I have been
thinking long and hard about this, If anyone knows anything or can tell me
where to find out, I would appreciate it.

I may be wrong in thinking this way, but since it coats the internal organs,
and it has to come out somehow, I think that it may cause problems with the
urinary system.
Any input is welcome,
Thank you
Have a great MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND, and I hope and pray that everyone is
pain free enough to enjoy thier extended weekend
Love ya all bunches
Linda
