To answer your question about SprayGel, yes there are many hospitals in the UK that use SprayGel but as it is quite expensive you may be asked to pay if it is not the normal barrier that your particular hospital uses. Quite a lot of hospitals are using Adept which I believe is also a very successful adhesion barrier. We have a number of members who are now pain free with the use of Adept.
There are also have a number of Adhesion specialists in the UK and you will find from any research you have done on Adhesions that a fair amount of it has originated from the UK and there is still a lot of research ongoing here at the moment. If you are looking for a specialist I would need to know where about in the UK you are from and more about your condition, so that I can point you in the right direction to the right kind of surgeon.
Alternatively if you wish to have surgery in Germany, I am the advocate for the UK and can also guide you as to what papers/forms you would need if applying to have your surgery Free on the NHS. It would be the same as the UK you would have the same surgeon whether you were going private or NHS.
