Hello everyone this is Brenda From Ottawa. I have not been well and I
haven't posted in a couple of months. I have started going to the pain
management clinic and I guess you can say I am a little frustrated with
them. I had high hopes when I finally got in . My problem is they seem
not to know much about ahdesions or how to treat them. On my third
visit to the clinic they have decided to do a couple of things and I
feel it is a waste of time but I am going to try anyhow no harm in
trying I guess.
Well one of the things they want to try is a procedure called Lanicaine
infussion. I was wondering if anyone has tried this procedure and if
they did what was the outcome. Also they want to send me to another
surgeon to see if he will open me up and try and remove some of the
adhesions.
Well what really bother me is that the doctor thinks it could be the
nerves and not adhesions this frustrates me because I have been to 7
doctors who have all said it is the adeions that is causing all my pain
but the doctor at the pain clinic thinks diffrent. Also I know for a
fact because of the degree of adheions I have they will not open me up.
I am trying to explain to the doctor but she makes me feel as if I know
nothing and she knowas everything.
This has made me feel that I know nothing about adhesions and that she
knows everything because she is a doctor. What should I do?? How can I
express my frustrations to her so that she can understand what I am
feeling about all this. Well I hope everyone is well and if anyone has
any ideas or suestions please post them I am willing to hear what anyone
has to say.
