 Hi Pam,
I am writing this because my mother is an 80 year old woman and has had a baker's tube put into her 4 days ago.
She went in for a colon cancer operation on July 1st and had a successful operation.
Then they gave her an O.D. of morphine and this caused Ileus (adaynamic) then 5 days later we are told she has
adhesions in the bowel-- they only thing he could do for her was a bakers tube-- she also does have the ng tube
up her nose and into the stomach as well.
She has been in the hospital for 2 weeks today and the tube wont be coming out until Friday or Saturday
My question for you is this-- Do they take it out all at one time or slowly over a period of time?
The poor dear just cant take too much more,
Thank you for a responce to this asap----God Bless Lynn
