Hi Deborah. I had this done and did not finish because it did not decrease my pain. My back hurt so bad from the 5in. needles in my back. For me they had 4 5inch needles that they guided by exray to the hypergastic nerves. The 3rd time you do it they actually kill the nerve. (I think) As far as I remember. Maybe I have a muscle disorder and that is why it hurt me so bad. You may not have as much pain as I had from it. They gave me something to put me a sleep. Not worth the pain for me anyway. Since you have been doing this for 16 years you might want to look into taking percacets without the tylenol. Not good to take so much tylenol. An how about a longer lasting drug and percacet for break thru pain? It's called oxycodone.(percacet without tylenol) This is the norm for chronic pain patients. It is hard to find info on nerve blocks. And my doc wasn't much help explaining it either. It dose not hurt while they do it. It is for 3 days afterward that I hurt. My back hurt so bad that I couldn't tell if it helped my pelvic pain or not. Let me know please if you find anyone that it worked for. I doubt you'll find anyone tho. Sorry for the bad news. Who knows it could work for you!!!! I just hate to think of you going thru this and then it not working. Keep investigating Deborah !!! Take care, Jaynie
