I have the same issue as you do.. I had a laparoscopy and adhesions
removed in April of this year... My colon was adhered to my pelvic
sidewall. He only cut them that time.. My pain is back now, and I am
going back for a follow up laparoscopy in November.. This time he will
try the barrier... Like your doc, mine said sometimes they use it, and
it works, and sometimes it doesnt... I have found that to be true
here.. But for me I would like to give it one more shot... As for pain
relief, my doc told me that the only thing that would really help for me
is narcotic pain relievers, as the Celebrex, or other anti-inflamatories
do not good as the pain is not from swelling, but from pulling... So
for now, I have nothing but pain until November... I believe there are
currently NO barrier sprays approved by the FDA in the US.. The only
barriers that I know of currently are Interceed, or the Gore-tex... Good
Luck to you.
