I too suffer from asthma, but it is not bothered by my adhesions. I have suffered from adhesions for about 15 years and I have had many surgeries. 1 year ago I had a total abdominal hysterectomy because my doctor said it would help relieve my pain. Wrong!!!! I am now in more pain than ever before. The only way to manage it is to go to a pain specialist and take pain meds. I was in the ER on Wednesday evening because the pain was so bad even my pain meds, ocycontin 2x a day and percocet 3x day were not helping. They had to inject me with morophine. I am also having procedures done called, hypogastric plexus blocks, it is a shot in the spine and they inject you with a steroid and lydicane. The first time I got 36 hours pain free and the 2nd time I got 10 days pain free. I am having another one done on the 31st. I hope it lasts longer because he can't give me too many more. Anyway, sorry for rambling my point was be very careful about having a hysterectomy it can make your situation so much worse. I am trying so hard not to have another surgery, even though I would really like to know for sure what my adhesions are stuck to right now, I keep telling myself another surgery won't help and I could end up not being able to function at all. At least now I can work and take care of my 4 year old daughter, even though I am high from the narcotics all the time.

good luck. wish I had more positive info for you.
