Hi. I have pleural adhesions and just came home today from an
appointment with my pulmonologist. He told me that the pain I have been
feeling when I breathe is not from the adhesions, because he has
seen/heard of many cases like mine where the patient had adhesions but
no resulting pain. Due to this, he will not prescribe the only
medication that has worked slightly for me and will only refer me to
another specialist. I'm 16 years old and the adhesions developed after
a pleural effusion which resulted from a misdiagnosed ruptured appendix
a few years ago. Does anyone know of cases with pleural adhesions and
chronic pain and maybe know of a treatment that was helpful? Thanks.
