adhesions

I am a 47 year old female in pain everyday of my life since February 2000. I underwent emergency surgery for a ruptured appendix (ruptured 4 days prior to my surgery). In October of the same year, I had a bowel resection. In May of 2001 I had a triple hernia repair and in July 2002 I had a hysterectomy. During each of the procedures I had lysis of adhesions. My last surgery lasted 3 hours, 2 of the 3 hours were devoted to lysis of adhesions. I live in constant pain. It doesn't matter what I eat or how much I eat, after I eat, I hurt. I hurt when I lay down to sleep, I hurt when I laugh, I can't wear certain clothes. Point is, I can't do anything without pain and discomfort. Anyone out there have any suggestions? I have an appointment scheduled with my surgeon on April 19, I do not want to undergo another surgical procedure and doubt that he would open me up again for adhesions. Help!!!
