Hi Kristi,
I had bariatric surgery a little over a year ago. I have lost 230lbs
and am doing great except for the adhesions. I was not aware that I
would be one of the "lucky" ones that would develop adhesion problems
after surgery. I have had two surgeries to correct them, contemplating
a third in which they will also resect a portion of the small intestine
(which does not really effect me because I do not use the majority of it
anyway).
My thoughts are that if you already have adhesion pain, and you may or
may not develop them following surgery (your bariatric surgeon will have
to clean then up while they are in there), why not take a shot at it. It
may leave you with the same pain you have now, but you will be much
healthier at a lower weight.
This is just my opinion :)
Let me know if I can answer any questions about wls for you.
