Having the lap bad inserted (its a fluid filled band which wraps around your stomach, they inflate it with saline or contrast media to make your stomach smaller) is going to involve yet more surgery. If you have adhesions in that area they may have to do it as an open procedure with a five inch incision.

Its "least invasive" in that they don't go in and cut up your intestines, but they still have to get the fluid filled band into your abdomen, and that means poking around. I'm pretty much in terror of anyone going in me and poking around because every time they do I get more problems.

Have you talked to your doctor about a referal to physical therapy so you can try to find some exercise options? Dietician for IBS diet options? Might be a lot easier and safer than more surgery!
