Kim,
Whatever you do, do not rush back for more surgery.
It will only come back worse. Do you have pelvic
and abdominal adhesions?
I went to a dr. in Mn. who said that he felt
that the barriers worked well on abdominal but
not pelvic adhesions.
I also have gone to Pennsylvania to the
adhesions specialist for surgery and I went
to Germany for surgery. I once again have them
back. There are others that have gone that claim
that they are adhesion-free and others that say
they aren't cured after going to the specialists.
Pain management is where you go to a dr. that
specializes in helping with the pain. Right now,
I feel that is the best. You won't be able to get
rid of all of your pain but you can get rid of some.
Have your dr. refer you to a pain management dr.
There are other things you can do also such as
massage therapy, heating pads etc..
It may be good to get counseling also for chronic
pain.
Some days I am ready to go under the knife any
minute but then I remember that I have gone to
the best surgeons and I still have them so until
they come out with some thing else then I won't
have surgery unless I am blocked. I have upper
abdominal down to the vaginal area.
If you do decide to have surgery, then you need
to go to a dr that specializes in removing
adhesions.
