dear Fhager: it was great to read that having
a colonoscopy helped with your adhesions. my
doctor tried that procedure many times but it
was not successful. he told me that he was not
able to complete the procedure because the
adhesions were so bad he could not advance the
scope.
when i had my surgery in november the doctor
took photos which showed that most of my
intestinal tract was in one piece and looked
like it was covered with elmers glue. my
follow-up procedure showed that only 15% of
the adhesions grew back and there were
entire areas where the adhesions did not
grow back at all. i am very happy for you
that it works because it is much easier
than surgery. however, for some of us
surgery seems to be the only option short
of living on pain meds. again, i am happy
for you that you can put off surgery and
i hope many others are as lucky. good luck
to you and congrats on staying out of the or!!
