Hi Amy. You situation is so typical of
most of us here. We've all gone
throught the same thing, so know you
are definitely not alone.
I understand your frustration with the
pain doc, unfortunately, they
have the DEA looking over their shoulders
at every scrip they write.
They have to document that they've tried
(and failed) every other
treatment before bringing the narcotics
on board. Unfortunately for
most of us, the narcotics are the only
thing that actually brings
relief.
All I can say is DO NOT GIVE UP. Find a
different pain doc if this one
isn't working for you. Finding proper
treatment is your most important
job right now. At least, that's the way
I have to look at it myself
when my guts go downhill: It's my full-time
job to find the people who
can help me. Everything else is secondary.
Keep on trying. Somewhere out there is
someone who WILL be able to help
you with the pain. {{{{{{{{}}}}}}}}}}
