Hi Amy. You situation is so typical of most of us here. We've all gone throught the same thing, so know you are definitely not alone.

I understand your frustration with the pain doc, unfortunately, they have the DEA looking over their shoulders at every scrip they write.

They have to document that they've tried (and failed) every other treatment before bringing the narcotics on board. Unfortunately for most of us, the narcotics are the only thing that actually brings relief.

All I can say is DO NOT GIVE UP. Find a different pain doc if this one isn't working for you. Finding proper treatment is your most important job right now. At least, that's the way I have to look at it myself when my guts go downhill: It's my full-time job to find the people who can help me. Everything else is secondary.

Keep on trying. Somewhere out there is someone who WILL be able to help you with the pain. {{{{{{{{}}}}}}}}}}
