Ask your doctor about stretches. I do a lot of yoga stretches and I also go to a massage therapist who specifically targets my abdomen with deep tissue massage. It's not relaxing by any means and, in fact, is sometimes quite uncomfortable. But the next day my abdomen always feels much less tight.
